Ferree Foundation

The Ferree Foundation is a private family foundation dedicated to promoting and supporting excellence in the arts, culture and history, education, youth engagement, health, human services, local economic and community development. In 1947, Marian S. and John H. Ware 3rd founded the Oxford Foundation. In 2004, the Oxford Foundation restructured, creating four separate foundations. The Ferree Foundation is one of those new creations.

Paul W. Ware is the Chairman of Ferree Foundation and continues the Ware family tradition of using philanthropy to enhance the lives of families and institutions primarily throughout Lancaster County and, occasionally Southeastern Pennsylvania and beyond.
